Description
In 1965 I picked this shell up on a remote island beach off Singapore & decades later chose it to be my artisannabelle™ logo. It has strong and unusual colouring. I've saved, painted, drawn and even sculpted many shells over the years so, drawing & painting this shell should have been straighforward - but it wasn't and I soon began to rue starting it at all. The shell challenged me from the beginning, changing so quickly before my eyes from cream to blush pink to apricot or purple or grey as the light changed.
From an original Annabelle B. Rodger artwork using watercolour pencil and paint on an off-white background. Printed on chlorine-free ultra-smooth card which is Forest Sustainability Council (FSC) certified.
